Introducing Our Talented Chef
James Nowak has a 14 year relationship with Marcus Hotel and Resort
properties.

In 1997, Nowak was named Executive Chef at the Hilton Milwaukee City
Center. Prior to working at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, Nowak served
11 years as Executive Chef at the Northstar Hotel (Minneapolis, MN), The
Mead Inn (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) and Grand Geneva Resort & Spa (Lake Geneva,
WI).
Nowak's duties include supervising the Culinary and Stewarding department,
and meeting with the supervisors of the Banquet and Catering department
daily to insure customer satisfaction.

Nowak is a member of the American Culinary Federation, A.C.F. Board of
Apprenticeship and active in the Culinary Arts Section of Externships,
Taste of the Nation and Taste of Milwaukee. He has been certified by the
National Restaurant Association and graduated from the Chef's Apprenticeship
program at Milwaukee Area Technical College under Knute Apitz. Nowak also
works with local Milwaukee charities and area schools.
